Haha, now this a question that depends completely on which of my friends you ask.

Most would probably say quiet, reserved, polite, professional but relaxed, a good role model and someone that you can talk to and seek help and advice from when you are struggling in life.

And then others would call me a sarcastic smart ass who sometimes doesn't know when to shut his trap.

I would say both are correct. XD

Don't make him angry, you won't like him when he's angry...lol (I once overheard my PO3 telling that to our newly reported Seaman Apprentice/E-2).

There's actually a way to figure this out. The Johari window is a psychological tool allowing you to identify character traits you believe to possess vs. what others perceive you to have.

They'd say I was rigid, almost anal retentive in regards to daily life, but would also say I'm open minded and fiercely protective of family and friends.

I pretty much know what my colleagues would say, the real question would be what would my friends say. Colleagues would say I am black and white, I have zero tolerance for excuses. I don't pull favors for people or play the political game very well. They would probably also say I am a regulation Nazi, and I quote regulations too often.
