If I reclass to 27D could I apply to OCS to become a JAG officer and work as a lawyer in the Army? 2021-12-02T21:59:48-05:00 PV2 Private RallyPoint Member 7401931

I’m currently an active duty 42A, one year in and I’ll become a PFC in one month.

If during my reenlistment window I were to reclass as a 27D, provided I complete my Bachelors during my current enlistment, could I then move from 27D to JAG?

How would that process look like? You need to either be a current commissioned officer and be picked up for FLEP (very small number) or go to law school, pass the bar and seek a direct commission. To the JAG Corps. You could go the way you have stated, but it is longer in the end. Start working on the BA now! A program that helps pay for your schooling to become a JAG. You can also direct commission as a JAG once your gotten your law degree and passed the bar.
