If I take a medication that temporarily causes me to be non-deployable for 90 days, will I still be able to be promoted?

Your Company Commander is a deciding factor if you get promoted or not. Why promote a soldier that is only deployable temporable according to a medical profile. It take every member of a group to deploy down range as a team. A non deployable member causes the group to fill in and perform the extra job.

It's only 90 days. Hmm well good thing you don't make that decision because my sequence number for SFC came up while I was pregnant. I got pinned when I was 3 months pregnant. I was non-deployable for 9 months...

So a soldier that has a medical condition that was incurred on active duty should have that held against him for advancement? A soldier who was working 18 hours a day 7 days a week preparing the unit’s vehicles for deployment gets sick and has to go on medicine to recover and is placed on a profile and can’t deploy should have all the work he put into the deployment discounted because he got sick. Makes perfect sense to me.
