If I were to get my H8, would that potentially be enough to convince the Army to let me keep my MOS and come back in?

So I am trying to get back into Active Duty through the Reserves after being out of Active Duty since 2016. I am trying to reclass to 91B right now, and would like to come back in as a 91B as well. The current Prior Service Business Rules does not list 91B as a critical MOS but it does mention ASIs potentially allowing personnel back in with select ones. If I were to get my H8 would that potentially be enough to convince ole Big Army to let me keep my MOS and come back in ?
I'd like to go 91B in order to be able to go to RASP but if I have to I would be fine with 91M

Have you considered going AGR?
It's the best of both worlds - you'd be getting active pay, & be assigned to a reserve unit.

You can go to RASP with any MOS. Regiment will just reclass you to an MOS they need if you pass and they don't use your MOS.

not sure what the ASI for striker mechanic is, but that may help you keep you MOS

91S is a star MOS. H8 is not going to help.

H8 sure won't hurt, heck, could even help you on the civilian side. But you need to talk to an AD recruiter and find out, it is always changing from day to day.
