Probably not. Being denied "medical, food and shelter in the US" is still very likely a better scenario than where they are fleeing.

People love to look at things in absolutes. In other words, would this solve the problem when that is never the case or the objective? The point is to build an in-depth solution of closing the border, stop encouraging people come here illegally, deport them immediately, offer no services other than immediate needs as we deport them, deny citizenship to those born here as a result of parents coming across the border illegally, and build better border security like walls, technology, intelligence, and personnel. Along with that change the laws to codify all of this, mandating the executive branch enforces all of it. Additionally, revise the laws to allow for more temp work visas, increase the numbers of legal immigration in general, and place standards on who we will accept into this country. People coming here must want to be here to be productive and assimilate into our country, not create micro versions of the ones they left. There is no one thing that will solve this problem and even all of the above will not stop all illegal immigration. But it will remove a significant amount of the incentive, the numbers will become more manageable, and we will realize better security as a result. At the same time, we will still be a nation people seek out… legally. This is all too important. Countries like Russia and China are actually suffering from population gaps for specific generations.

Just a couple of comments for those that aren't familiar with the rules. The isn't a cap on the number of temporary work visas that can be issued. There still a number of rules that have to be followed to keep them legal, wages, housing, job length. So if you are short tomato pickers and can't find them local, you just have to fill out the application. There are a number of legal brokers that can help with it.
OTOH, H1B Visas are a scam and the people brought over have no better skills than you could find local. No legacy cost involved and you just send them home.
I can see no reason the increase legal immigration at this point and actually think we should put a moratorium on immigration with the exception of spouses and/or children of citizens. Then start it back up slowly and allow highly qualified people to immigrate.

There is a cap on the number of legal immigrants that can come into this country. While this may not apply to those seeking work visas (or similar), at least we can say those folks are applying to provide a productive service, and I have no problem with that. But there assuming no caps, those getting the work visas should be sponsored and those who sponsor them must be accountable for them (to include overstay penalties if not reported).

I absolutely believe we can increase the numbers of legal immigration (without starting over), but these number cannot be adjusted until we have realized a manageable border with regards to security and numbers coming into the country.

They still might migrate if certain people would employ them despite undocumented status...
