If in a parade and wearing Service Dress uniform, is there anything against carrying (whether open carry/concealed)?

Hypothetically speaking (I personally have no plans to appear anywhere). In my State you can open carry without a permit and concealed carry with a permit. I tend to think being in uniform in this day and age makes ones susceptible, think SAEDA

Hypothetically, you're a veteran right? Yes I know AR 670-1 has rules about vets wearing their old service uniforms. But honestly if you're wearing it correctly, nobody is going to say anything to you. And as long has you're legally carrying (either open or concealed), again nobody is going to say anything.

Was in a parade yesterday, Actually I drove in a parade, right behind the American Legion color guard and members. I was in the same uniform they were. I know these guys, I can bet 3 guys in front of me were carrying concealed as was I. If you are authorized to wear your uniform off base then follow the local laws. On base is a whole new story....

Remember SPC Harsh if they don't know you are carrying are you really carrying? If your weapon is properly secured and not showing I would rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it. If you are the color bearer where a dress holster and your M-9. Problem solved brother!

Also depends where you live. In some states you cannot carry open or concealed to events such as parades.
