If my losing unit authorized PTDY, and my PCS leave and PTDY is all on the same DA 31, do I sign in to my new unit before I take the 10 days? 2018-01-28T15:00:01-05:00 SSG Private RallyPoint Member 3301328 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I’ve heard both ways. So I wouldn’t miss that. Or else you can sign in at your unit and take it then Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Jan 28 at 2018 3:50 PM 2018-01-28T15:50:24-05:00 2018-01-28T15:50:24-05:00 1SG Private RallyPoint Member 3302321 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Bottom line is, you must report to your new unit NO LATER THAN the report listed on the PCS orders. Losing unit can not authorize any leave or PTDY beyond the report date. Go to the housing office on your gaining installation to have them stamp the date you went in. That will start the clock on your 10 days PTDY, but again it can not exceed the report date. If you sign in early to the gaining unit and do NOT use your PTDY, then the gaining unit can authorize PTDY. Hope that helps, if not send me an email on global and I’ll see if Incam further help clarify.
