SGT(P) Private RallyPoint Member 6561185

I shot my M4 back in May as well as my 249. My M4 score had been on my PPW since then. Until November when it was replaced with my 249 score which I’m getting 0 points for. Orderly room said that my 249 was listed as my primary and then changed it back to my M4 but my PPW is still not reflecting it. What’s going on??? If my primary weapon is the M4A1, then why is my M249L score populating on my PPW? 2020-12-08T01:03:49-05:00 SGT(P) Private RallyPoint Member 6561185

I shot my M4 back in May as well as my 249. I would rather see neither but would choose a lazy one over an incompetent.
6 months - incompetent leadership. MG* is crew served not individual, as I recall, and the gunner has a pistol, the asst gunner a carbine and the ammo bearer a rifle. Sounds as if you the assistant gunner if you have a carbine. Now this is by the book and, of course, there are weapon pick ups, if in a combat zone, and folks carry what they want.

*My experience was with 1919s and M-60s. You earned them, shot them both and if proficient with both should be allowed to have the paperwork show it. Should not matter what your MOS, squad job or any other criteria. I can remember a time that you did get credit on paper and the weapon bar on the marksman badge for the scoring of that weapon or system. Someone in DTMS used the weapons association APP and linked you to an M249.
