If my spouse stays behind during my pcs move, would they pay for her move to the duty station when she's ready? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/if-my-spouse-stays-behind-during-my-pcs-move-would-they-pay-for-her-move-to-the-duty-station-when-she-s-ready <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>For certain reasons, my spouse needs to stay behind for a few months. When she&#39;s able to, will the military pay for the move? I would arrive with just my luggage so I would not have contacted anyone to move my belongings until she leaves.maybe sooner. How about your transportation office, have you contacted them? They are the ones with right answers! However, the short answer is yes. I have done this multiple times. It is not unusual, nor a big deal. You will have to file two travel vouchers (one voucher and one amended voucher) and possibly two PPM vouchers if you move some stuff yourselves. All actions on a PCS are tied to the order number and what your orders authorize you to do. Good luck. You just file a separate travel voucher for her when she arrives. You can also send some of your stuff ahead, you can do more than one HHG shipment SFC Private RallyPoint Member Fri, 30 Oct 2020 11:08:28 -0400 2020-10-30T11:08:28-04:00 Response by CPO George Taylor made Oct 30 at 2020 6:08 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/if-my-spouse-stays-behind-during-my-pcs-move-would-they-pay-for-her-move-to-the-duty-station-when-she-s-ready?n=6454102&urlhash=6454102 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I too, have had huge success with this on the Navy side. I found the key to be early and constant communication with the gaining and losing Chain of Command. I left my family in Guam while I PCS&#39;ed to Great Lakes 5 months prior. Sometimes the demand for trucks exceed the capacity. Transportation will brief you on the do&#39;s and don&#39;t&#39;s.
