If my unit gets called up to Deploy and I'm AGR with multiple deployments, would I have to go again or will I have an option?

I deployed a few times in the past with National Guard and now that I'm AGR with Reserves , I have a feeling that my current unit that I am part of , might be getting called up soon.

Unless your commander/ Supervisor want to name you to the Rear Detachment Team in all real terms you're probably gonna deploy again! That's just how it works with the units rotational. Y le under the Reserves 5 year training plan preparing for deployment.

You should be willing to deploy with them because you were hired to give them your leadership and experience. With several deployments behind you they will surely benefit from your help and advice.

99.9999% chance of deploying with the unit, the few AGR's that don't go it's normally because their commander's don't trust them at all, which puts you in a great place to be promotion wise if you don't deploy with your unit. (medical and other exemptions excluded)

At my last enlisted assignment this actually happened to me. Probably half of the AGRs deployed and half stayed back with the Rear D. I'm not sure how they decided who who went and who stayed, but I went even though I had only been home a little over a year from my previous deployment.

Honestly not too familiar with the AGR, but pretty sure it is not a pick and choose your deployments based on whether or not you want to go. Unless you're selected for Rear-D or have a very special circumstance then I would assume you're going if you're a part of that unit...welcome to life.

If for some chance you don't want to go, plenty other AGR's who will low crawl through broken glass to get the chance to deploy.

I was a miltech with the reserves and no my knowledge yes you deploy with the unit you are assigned. Back in 2007 our battalion deployed and took all but one of my AGR's with them, leaving me and the OPS SGT to handle a unit of 140 soldiers. The only way I see you not deploying is if they set up a Rear Detachment and wanted a full timer to head it.

I don't think you have a choice in the matter unless some medical issue or your leadership puts you on the rear detachment list (some call it the shit list).

It is your duty to make the deployment with your unit unless they choose to leave you behind with the rear detachment. Otherwise get ready!
