If Officers and Enlisted were held more accountable for our action would we trust one another to get more individual tasks accomplished?

I have always believed that for every Officer that does not trust his NCOs, there was an NCO early in that officer's career that did not do his job.

In the Marine Corps, 1968-1972, enlisted and officers were held accountable.
