If someone goes from the Army NG to Air Guard to AD Army, what is the regulation on reissuing your initial issue?

I was army guard from Oct 23 2013 till August 18 2016, Air Guard from August 19 2016 till May 24 2017 and May 25 till present never got new uniform and have the old ACU and Pts already bought some of the pts but I'd really like to know if this is something the army will pay for or not?

The army will reissue you when you got to AIT or MOS Q don't worry they will square you away.

In active duty Army, we have to purchase these items. To quote SMA Dailey, it's what your clothing allowance is for.

If you're AD you should get a yearly uniform allowance, I'd get with your Sergeant on that. If you were still in the Guard it would be issued to you as we don't get a yearly allowance.

If you are enlisted the Army should supply you with basic issue. It stretches my credulity that multiple units in two services have failed to to do such a simple. Speak with your top-kick.

Get with your current supply SGT. Read AR700-84, in most cases you are authorized a complete new uniform issue because the Nat’l Guard requires you to turn in your uniforms when you are released from the Guard. Once your annual uniform allowance kicks in you will be responsible for uniform replacement.

You should get new gear, in the Reserves and Guard (At least for me!) I have had to return all my gear and most of the time m uniforms were beat up. It cannot hurt to ask. Plus being new (again!) you want to look your best at your new command. Good luck!
