If the United States were to fall, would it be from an outside force or because we destroyed ourselves from the inside?

I think it's pretty clear that no one entity has the power to destroy America. Now we may weaken ourselves to the point where another nation could deliver the final blow, but the actual cause will be a rotting at the core (and we can already see the occurring). How can we expect children who are indoctrinated to hate America and taught to fear their own shadows, defend the nation?

As much as people are concerned these days, I don't think we would ever destroy the country from within. I think it would be very difficult to almost impossible to even destroy the country with a suprise attack. I think the country is a LOT more resilent then people think it is........I know the backup IT systems the Feds have in place are very impressive but generally not known by Joe Public. Congress is and has done it's job to make sure we have a fighting chance under multiple attack from outside scenarios.

We are doing a pretty good job of destroying our own country. I agree with CPT Jack Durish, these other countries are just waiting for us to destroy ourselves and then they will come in and deliver the final blow.

The answer to this question is obvious. We have a bad habit of making things worse than they have to be. If we fall it will because we did it to ourselves.
