I was discharged after 11 years and 3 months due to a medical. I still had 2 years of my enlistment left, but I was given an honorable discharge.Response by PO1 H Gene Lawrence made Apr 27 at 2019 11:21 AM2019-04-27T11:21:04-04:002019-04-27T11:21:04-04:001SG Eddie Smith4584491<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>That paper you are referring to must be your DD Form 214, and your Character of Service—AKA type of discharge is on the DD Form 214, sounds like your DD Form 214 indicates an Honorable discharge. The 214 is the official document source for your type of discharge, or character of service. Hope this helps, I m am not 100% certain of your question.Response by 1SG Eddie Smith made Apr 27 at 2019 11:24 AM2019-04-27T11:24:56-04:002019-04-27T11:24:56-04:00CSM Darieus ZaGara4586210<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>What does your discharge say from the military, the VA does not discharge you. The character of your discharge on that form is the accurate one. The rest are subject to human error (actually, so is the DD214 but you can appeal that).Response by SSG Dale London made Apr 29 at 2019 7:55 PM2019-04-29T19:55:19-04:002019-04-29T19:55:19-04:00Sgt Steve Williams7026640<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I don't think I have anything from the VA that indicates I have an honorable discharge.
