If the VA increases my disability percent (from 50% to 60%) and adjusts my effective date (from 2017 to 2012), will they also pay backpay?

First of all you need to learn how to correctly write a sentence. Second you are very vague in this question which needs some clarification. I am guessing you need to contact your unit admin personal to get this resolved. As it looks like a pay issue, make sure you got copies of all your LES and such.

I agree with SGM Mikel Dawson. Your question is not very clear, and your grammar only confused what you're trying to ask. Are you referring to your effective for promotion to E-4? What kind of "letter" are you talking about? What happened between November 2012 and November 2017? Were you still being paid as an E-3? I'm confused by what you might actually be asking.

Yes they will. They will do an audit with DFAS to come up with the appropriate amount of back pay given your retired status. I would calmly suggest to those who find grammar appalling that we do not know the specifics of this service member's disability or how it effects his ability to communicate. What we do know is that he is in need of assistance and we, as leaders, are duty bound to provide said assistance to the best of our ability. Semper Fi.
