I fractured two bones and tore my MCL in my right leg and they are talking about putting me on a permanent profile to no longer do ABN operations. I came in as a 37X (Psyops candidate) and got injured. Will they send me somewhere else or keep me at Bragg? And if they keep me at Bragg will they put me in the 82nd as a leg?

You will be reclassified to an MOS the Army needs.
You will most likely end up anywhere but Bragg.

Currently at SWMG and I’ve seen most guys here with injuries go to 82nd CAB just wondering if that will be my path as well

Did most of those guys get medically precluded from airborne status?
Did any of them already have an MOS?

Welcome to the wonderful world of LEG. You may be reclassed to the Needs of the Army, honestly. Especially if the Psyops units require all members to be Airborne qualified.

So I knew Psyops require Airborne they said if I reclass it will be to MP if my med board doesn’t go thru, just wondering why they would spend time and money to get me here just to spend more to get me somewhere else when i have like 3 years left

PFC (Join to see) - Because if you can be physically and medically retained, then why would the Army waste the money already invested in you? Besides, right now you're in a holding pattern. If the Army can, they will try and get a return on their investment in you.

You'll be reclassed to needs of the Army. There's no way to predict what it will be at the moment it happens. I've seen people stay on Bragg, I've seen others end up in Japan. It's anyone's guess
