I paid into Montgomery GI Bill back in 1997 with partial use from 2001-2004 for undergraduate school. I talked to VA about using Post 9/11 GI Bill in 2013 for graduate school. The VA counselor told me that I would get partial Post 9/11 GI Bill based on additional service after ROTC and remaining Montgomery, but no refund.

If anyone else on RP has additional info or different experience, I yield to them. Talk to VA to confirm if policies changed in any way.

https://benefits.va.gov/gibill/

VA.gov | Veterans Affairs

Apply for and manage the VA benefits and services you’ve earned as a Veteran, Servicemember, or family member—like health care, disability, education, and more.

Response by LTC Eugene Chu made Mar 16 at 2022 2:56 PM 2022-03-16T14:56:10-04:00 2022-03-16T14:56:10-04:00 2022-03-16T14:50:14-04:00
