If you are a veteran of two services, what is the requirement for wearing a uniform to a formal event?

I am a veteran of two services, one of which I only had about a year in while the other (the first one) was 8 years. While I would prefer to wear the one I feel I earned, I'm not sure if there is a regulation stating that I can only wear the one I most recently discharged with.

If I remember correctly, last uniform authorized and/or current uniform of that service.

What was your first branch, what rank did you get discharged as, and what type of discharge did you receive? If honorable, you can claim that rank as you did earn it.

My guess is that you'd wear the one you were most recently discharged with. Of course if you were still serving, there'd be no question.
