If you are married and prior service, and you change your MOS, how long does the AIT have to be for your spouse to be able to move with you?

Is your AIT considered a PCS, TCS, or TDY enroute?

Not sure yet I haven’t hit my re-enlistment window so have not gotten orders. I hit my window in May but get married in April. Just wanting to try and get information so we can decide if my wife can move to Fort Leonard Wood with me after we get married. Instead of staying at the job she has in Texas so she doesn’t move to MO then I leave her again once I go to AIT.

PCS length AIT is 23 weeks or greater, or a multi phase AIT.

I think 20 something weeks or more but why she can’t stay where are living now so she will only have to move once after AIT?

Unless the AIT is considered PCS, then she can't move at gov't expense. Also why move multiple times? You aren't going to spend much time with in AIT, and when you graduate you will probably be moved to a new post. It makes a lot more sense for her to sit still and visit, then move when you are assigned to your 1st unit.
