It should be the same for both male and female. I know that physiologically we're built differently, but that shouldn't mean that not everyone has to meet the standard. Personnel in combat arms need to meet mission requirements period. The onus should be on the individual to prove, beyond a shadow of a doubt that they ARE ready to be promoted. I'm not exactly sure how but I'm sure it can be brainstormed. The PT test does nothing to determine true physical fitness.
