It should be the same for both male and female. I know that physiologically we&#39;re built differently, but that shouldn&#39;t mean that not everyone has to meet the standard. Personnel in combat arms need to meet mission requirements period. Whether it rucking 70lbs or more, carrying 240s, 249s, mortar tubes, javelins, comms equipment or anything else. The onus should be on the individual to prove, beyond a shadow of a doubt that they ARE ready to be promoted. Just staying out of trouble shouldn&#39;t be good enough... We lose the best of our grunts to Raiders, who are perpetually on their OFP, yet as they don&#39;t have perminant slots the majority of their instructors are PMC&#39;s and a lot of guys end up going back to the grunts after a few years with shitty &quot;I&#39;m better than you&quot; attitudes Cpl John Barker Wed, 19 Jul 2017 20:22:01 -0400 2017-07-19T20:22:01-04:00 Response by SSG Karl Fowler made Jul 19 at 2017 8:37 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/if-you-can-change-one-rule-or-regulation-for-your-branch-of-service?n=2747330&urlhash=2747330 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>let certain mos. be exempt from the mandatory retirement at 60 yrs of age SSG Karl Fowler Wed, 19 Jul 2017 20:37:12 -0400 2017-07-19T20:37:12-04:00 Response by SrA Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 25 at 2017 6:08 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/if-you-can-change-one-rule-or-regulation-for-your-branch-of-service?n=2867174&urlhash=2867174 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>The physical fitness test needs an overhaul. I&#39;m not exactly sure how but I&#39;m sure it can be brainstormed. The PT test does nothing to determine true physical fitness. As long as you can pound out a decent performance in a minute, it doesn&#39;t matter what you do the rest of your year and I see way too many out of shape Airmen who skate by on their PT.
