I feel that is where myself and many of my battles struggled going though basic and we didn't spend much time with them. I would also spend less time in a classroom. Most people are hands on learners and sitting in a classroom all day I feel didn't do me much good. We are decimated in the active duty units with trying to get these new Soldiers up to speed physically. People need to focus on training and keep shit clean, not how many likes they get for posting a photo and saying "hooah" whenever they post anything. We who went in before cell phones know this, even IF we had them back then, we sure as fuck didn't have time for them. Can't pass a PT test, do not pass go, do not pass the graduation ceremony. Improve marksmanship training to equal to or better than what the USMC has for starters. Today's military members don't know the regulations, don't know how to find anything in a regulation and willing to take bad advice [BS] from a stranger on a website. More training is needed for the "newbee" be become familiar with the rules and how to and where to find them. They think everything is covered under a regulation.
