That&#39;s just a feeling I have. I&#39;ve never been a 2LT or a 1LT, but I kind of get the feeling that the time would allow them to mature a bit more. Just a hunch.<br /><br />And I would shorten the TIG requirement for senior warrants -- that fluctuates with the board announcements, but it&#39;s generally been 4-6 years in the recent past. For me, in the late 90s and early 2000s, it was six years between grade.<br /><br />My two cents, and no offense to any 2LTs or 1LTs. This is not just the garrison Army we're talking about. In garrison, years as a SGT E-5 make sense. In war, you have a lot of promotions based on survival and skill.<br /><br />Remember, everything is a minimum requirement. Specialist. its been so long since being in charge, but at SPC i was in charge, but not accountable. lol. it was okay to make mistakes in the 90s.
