If you deny CCC, will the Army keep you at the post you are currently at or move you to their needs?

I have heard many different things from peers and superiors. Some have said they will keep you where you are at and others have said they will move you. I want to form a decision based on family reasons on what to do from here.

1LT Jackson Arndt the FA branch has been known for eating its own Officers in the past so on the way out if you feel under appreciated don’t take it personally. Now if you think there’s anyway you might stay on in the Guard or Reserves I’d strongly recommend that you see about maybe attending the Reserve or correspondence version of the course. As a 1LT just over three years in and only two OERs I was rifted from the Army when they downsized with plenty of other good high caliber officers from all branches. Managing to continue in the Reserve components I ended up serving in a QM position unqualified then an OD position before branch transferring to OD which later resulted in my final branch of Logistics. The FA background gave a great big picture background that served me well the rest of my career ending after 26 years active, and reserve with a two year mobilization as a Field Grade Officer. Think long and hard as that retirement with pension and medical plan is looming large for me as I have solid options to completely retire under 65 years of age. Be sure to at least consider it….the time flys by! Best of luck in your decision Sir!

1LT Private RallyPoint Member, if you already have an RFO for CCC you have 30 days to drop the 4187 to your branch manager declining CCC. Then you will need to follow that up with a REFRAD packet. If you don't have an RFO for CCC you can just submit the REFRAD packet. The REFRAD would also signal to your branch manager not to PCS you.
Remember, if you PCS you will incur an ADSO. ...and your gaining unit would receive a non-CCC grad Captain without promotion potential.
