Presently, I'm looking at Sam Skelton on Grokker, because he has a core fitness routine that looks promising. I have lower back issues, and he incorporates all the same exercises that my physical therapists and chiropractors taught me--dead bug, bridge, plank, stability ball, weighted. If you don't want to pay $100 for a gym membership, what sites are worth subscribing to (paying) for workout videos? 2017-04-25T14:38:40-04:00 SSG Private RallyPoint Member 2521277

I have my favorite free sites, but I'm willing to spend $15 a month to follow an online fitness trainer. He's a prior 11B, OEF/OIF vet who's now running a very successful gym. His company is called In The Arena. I hope this helps. Take care. Humans have kept in shape for thousands of years without over-priced, unnecessary gym memberships. Don't need a treadmill to run. I've gone on runs in all kinds of weather; with my aid bag.
Get creative. I'm sure a few minutes on youtube can open up many possibilities. Many of the machines are hindering people. Dead weight gives the best resistance because the body is NOT getting any help. Three different version of the pushup with various incline. I'm sure everyone has a few things around the house/yard that are at least 30+ lbs or more. No need for weights which will be used briefly and then cast aside only to take up space. Is that a month or the entire membership? That seems like cheap gym if that's your membership fee entirely.
You should look and see if anyone does it from home. I found in the town I live a woman who was a personal trainer in gyms, etc, and now she does it from home. Charges $15 for 30 min, $25 for an hour or does online Skype sessions. She does bodybuilding competitions - I'm going back to her after this next PT test. But I found her when I was searching for personal trainers or gyms. I'm sure there are some people in other areas of the country who are personal trainers who work from home. Having someone bark in my ears is worth more than that measly monthly fee.
