If you ets in 30 days can they put you on a detail for 30 days?

serious question please no bullshit, if you ets in 33 days can they put you on a month long detail thats every day for a month? Even though you need to clear? They said they have someone to replace me only for appointments yet i need to do alot of stuff online and clean my gear and all

There is something here that you are not telling. Is your unit deployed, undermanned or on an intensified training cycle? If so they can, even though they may not want to.
You are only guaranteed the time to actually clear, and honestly, I have observed that too many Soldiers look forward to that ETS Date without looking forward to that day AFTER they ETS or come off Terminal Leave. 30 days from ETS, you should be well set on your transition.
I would ask to speak to my first sergeant, and if that did not help, and the Sergeant Major is no help, then there is always the I.G. but be careful as to how much you stir the crap, that tends to result in more and ore hate coming down on you.

The unit is requires to provide you time and availability to clear. How they choose to do that is up to them.

CAN they put you on detail and make you do all of your online stuff and gear cleaning and just about everything else "after hours", excpet for the things you HAVE to do in person during detail time? Yes. Yes, they can.

In most normal circumstances, they SHOULDN'T. But that does not mean they can't.

Of course local policy (such as garrison/ installation SOP / Policy memo) may say otherwise, so this is one of those things where your first line or PSG can give a better answer than we can. We are not there and do not have access to ALL of the pertinent data and policies.

When I PCSed from Germany the second time, I was given two weeks to clear, and the day before I started clearing, I came down on Staff Duty NCO. I had to do it. The brigade CSM was absolutely no help. I was a SSG at the time.

Short answer... Yes they can.

Slightly longer answer.... Your unit can designate your assigned duties up to and including the very minute you are no longer a part of the military. If you need a full 30 days to clear, you're doing something wrong (it never took me more than about 2-3 actual days to clear, realizing Army is different than AF). Unless the rules have changed, all your unit is required to do is allow you time and availability to clear, how they do that is up to them.

NO, Depending on the base you are in, you have 10 to 15 days to clear the base and the Army plus medical, CIF, transportation, and other appointments. They cannot touch you during that time only according to your company and/or battalion out processing command policy and cannot take from the post out processing command policy.

I'd say they can put You on details within reason but still have to allow You adequate time to process out. In the final out processing they need to stay out of they way and NOT interfere. Those orders are issued above their command level and they also have to comply and not get in the way. Once You are relieved of duty for the final out processing its no longer in their hands except if You create problem Yourself through Your own conduct. I haven't seen much of those sort of problems with the Air Force Structure but I think often they tend to be more people orientated. I figure also if it a troop We have problems with let Him leave as quickly as possible for their next assignment and He or She is no longer our problem.
