Slim to none.<br />You may squeak by with OTH or General but for Gov jobs they are generally looking for Honorable Discharges across the board. The main reason being that gov jobs require a background check and any criminal charges civilian or otherwise will flag you. Yes. Will you get hired? Not with a BCD or a DD. Remember, they do background checks. You lose a lot of rights. You can&#39;t even legally own a firearm if you are dishonorable discharged. Its a federal law. I can&#39;t really recall anyone getting a dishonorable discharge. There was one Soldier that I knew that was pending one but he was waiting to go to trial. It would be hard to make a living with one. A BCD Or General LTA discharge is a major detriment to finding good paying jobs. If I found this type of information about an applicant, their file always went into the “no thanks” pile. One major reason was all the work I managed required a security clearance. Probably unfair prejudice on my part, but the real world just isn’t fair.
