If you get an article 15 and it's placed in your "restricted file", should you be able to see your "restricted file" on your iperms?

You can see it, as well as a very small number of people with the necessary access.

CW4(P) Detrottus Thomas - Roger it was a field grade and almost half my unit received them.... Soldiers recieved company grade, NCOs recieved field grades. As for the NCOs, we were told they would be put in our restricted file so they don't affect our career progression. I'm just trying to submit my drill sergeant packet and I need documentation for a waiver. Since I can't see the proceedings, I can't submit my packet.

1SG, who would those with necessary access be? I just received a field grade in Korea and it was filed in my restricted section. I can’t find much info about it in the regulation or any forums.

SGT (Join to see) - Career managers at HRC, and sometimes high echelon unit HR people. The number of people who have this access in the whole Army in in the low hundreds.

I had an Article 15 when I was a PFC. Had some restriction and2 weeks supervising the civilian KPs. Never thought any more about it. Years later as a 1LT I moved to a new unit and BN Pers O, a CW3 handed me my Art 15 papers and said found in my 201 file. He said that they should have been removed when I left unit where received. So I guess if you're not in the unit, they should not be n your file.
