I know last year for the AF, anyone over 15 that was hit with one of the programs was eligible for TERA but you had to apply for it otherwise you would be separate.

TERA is an option for separation under QSP, but does not seem to be an option for those separated under QMP.

"If a Soldier falls under QSP and they have more than 15 years of service but less than 20 years of total active duty service, they can apply for TERA."

I think TERA was for people passed over..not sure about QMP.
I do know that, if eligible, you have to select TERA, it isn't just assigned to you.
