If you had the ability to go back and change one thing about your career what would that be?  Or what would you tell the younger you to do or not do?

The
army has brought me nothing but learning experiences and the only thing I would
do different is, join earlier.

CPT Guzman, thank you for the response.  I am sure many of us feel the same way.  The important point you raise is that you learn from everything.  It is up to the individual if he or she is going to make it a positve or a negative.

I agree with CPT Guzman. I would have joined as soon as I was eligible.

If there is anything that I could go back and change in my career it would be to learn sooner that only real thing that can deter initiative and motivation is lack of belief in yourself.

I would not challenge the colonels and generals when they made ignorant decisions -- those resulted in a shortened career.
