SSgt Harvey "Skip" Porter I did my research and joined of my own free will. I do not regret my decision. I do regret the loss of friends, and fellow brothers.

Ted, it’s always devastating when we lose someone, and our Brother’s in Arms in particular. We suffer together, feel each other’s pain, no one and I mean no one can identify with that more then veterans. Remember, they are forever more walking shoulder to shoulder with us even today in spirit. Great post.

I was well on my way as a set designer and prop restorer at old Tucson. It wasn't until I made 1stLt that my military paycheck exceeded my Old Tucson paycheck as an 18 year old with 4 years experience.

No regrets, but always wondered how that would have played out.

None, if I hadn't of joined the military, I'd probably be a skidrow bum by now.

That’s doubtful Cowboy, with your sense of focus and drive you had probably turned out to be a public servant of some sort. Give yourself some credit.

MSG Louis Alexander - I did have a great job growing up, worked for my WWII vet uncle in his machine shop. Learned a lot from him.
