A few additional details:

- You must be a post 9/11 veteran who has already separated from the military are will transition within the next 18 months.
- All components are eligible (Active, Reserve, IRR), but you must have spent at least one day on active duty post 11 SEP 01
- Spouses of service members meeting the above criteria are also eligible to use the program
- There are three tracks - most will be interested in the "Tech Track" or "Independent Study Track". Either of these will allow you obtain many different industry certifications (PMP, CISSP, CCNA, CCBA, etc) and (as LTC Private RallyPoint Member mentioned) do it all free of charge (no cost for training or the certification test)

There is a slight difference between the above two tracks - the tech track operates on a quarterly basis, allows access for one year, and allows access to an academic advisor. The independent study requires that you are currently working (need letter of reference from your employer) and can be started immediately, but only allows access to courses for six months nor access to an advisor.

Additionally, you can only enroll in the program once.

For those IT folks out there, this is a great way to get those in-demand certifications without any cost to yourself. Every Veteran WILL benefit from this program. They provide training for online courses and will pay for one certification exam. Especially if you're IT or Logistics , you should be looking to attain something from CompTIA, Microsoft, Lean Six Sigma. That's just my opinion, though.
