1.CRT's are a great conversation starter!
2.Heat generated by it makes me feel good.
3.Wave your hand on the glass... static!
4.I have absolutly nothing on my desk, it fills the empty void!
5.I paid $1,000 for this bohemith 24" moster back in 1999!
6. Have you ever seen windows NT4.0 in 16bit color THIS awesome?!? Who needs all them colors...
7.it still works!
8.its got image burn of a games high score for ever lastig proof of my lifes greatest accomplishment!!!
9. I find it reminds me of my grandma's house.

The blacks on CRTs are still much better than LED's, even today. I don't have one, though.

SGT Private RallyPoint Member I still have one and it was in use until last year. My wife was still using a CRT monitor when she and I moved in together. She had it because it was still working, and she does not use a computer as often as we do. She used it until she got a good tablet. She has not touched a laptop or a her desktop since. So we donated the system to one of the local schools.

I have one in my office because I'm so used to 3 screens and supply wouldn't give me another one and this one was just given to me. But everyone that walks in always comments on it

Primarily for the deep, true black it can produce while I'm editing/mastering videos. LCDs still allow some light through where it should be true black and that skews the image quality. Plus the color output is different (gamut, contrast, temperature, etc.) from LCD/LED monitors. Plasma monitors were closer to CRTs re: black depth/color range but were heavy and way too hot for daily use.
Another reason I keep one around is for a backup monitor I can put in the rack in case I need to look at the servers directly (if the KVM fails).

I just got rid of my sony 21 inch crt , 140lbs of pure sexiness that went to the trash after i did my first big move.
I miss it the colors and blacks were awesome compared to lcds..
