Great topic of discussion SSG Carlos Madden - I would start by reviewing a list of all those on the White House payroll who are a part of the opposition party, followed by all those in all agencies that fall under the executive branch! Once done I would prepare to replace those folks with known excellent backgrounds, including education, expertise, and like partisan thinking... On day two I would... well you know...

Reduce all executive non-uniformed/non-law enforcement personnel staff by 10% within three months. Then another 10% within six months. Then another 10% within an year after the first nine months. Then Veto any Bill that does not reduce Gov't staff and or exceeds previous year's budget. Next President must start reducing our National Debt.

Requires many prerequisites to be defined. First-provided I actually got elected on a platform of social and economic conservancy (unlikely); I would've already ensured my Secret Service detail was 100% hand-picked men I trusted implicitly. I'd have already selected a cabinet comprised of recognized experts in their fields, and with as many conflicting points of view as possible. I'd have already mandated that my aides schedule a meeting, once every day, with a mayor from some town in the U.S., where I'd get their views on each subject of import I was to address that day...to filter what my advisers were telling me. I'd have insisted on running for one hour every morning at five a.m....inviting an active duty service member (E1-O5) to accompany me each time, to get their views.

After all of that...my first act would be to hold prayer in the Oval Office, asking God for wisdom, forgiveness, and patience.

Then, I would personally meet each member of Congress, and the Supreme Court... shake their hand, thank them for being there, and inform them in no uncertain terms that I had three goals for the nation I wanted their cooperation upon:

1. A united nation
2. A prosperous nation
3. A moral nation

It'd be a busy day:
0 Repeal the 25 year rule for auto importation
1 Term limits - 4 consecutive terms for House or 5 non consecutive, 2 terms consecutive or 3 non consecutive for Senate and Pres, no more than 15 years for Supreme Court
2 in the event of an unapproved/unbalanced budget, all members of Congress are ineligible for reelection aka 28A
3 absolutely cut salaries for Congress, Pres, and SCOTUS to 90K a year - and no millionaires may serve in those offices - must be working class citizen - 100% transparency in personal finances
4 fine media for using opinion/skewing the truth
5 force tax-free groups to stay out of government decisions, lobbies, petitions, etc
6 grossly raise fines for EPA violations
7 abolish political parties and mudslinging. When campaigning you answer questions about how you would handle a situation - you mention someone else you're out, you mention a party you're out. We are a Republic, not parliamentary
8 Weed is legal but same rules as alcohol and that tax is going into education
9 Massive overhaul of the (in)justice system - no more 35 years on death row, no more life sentences, it's too expensive
10 strip Scientology of its tax-free status
11 Eat, sleep, day 2 will be fun......

Start the ball rolling on de-privatizing prisons in the US. Incarcerating criminals should never be for-profit. Then I would empanel a task force to review all non-violent criminal convictions. A country based on the premise of freedom and liberty should not have the largest rate of incarceration in the world. Simple drug possession without the intent to distribute should not mean jail time.

I would not withdraw Troops from Syria leaving the Kurds alone; instead, I would schedule more troop rotations. Then, I would contact all of our Allies and apologize for unprofessional behavior and assure them the US stands with them. In this global environment, ally support is critical.
