Have you left the car alone for 15 minutes and then tried again. It sounds like it is flooded.

It's fuel injected Ted, so I don't see how that could be.

I had similar problem once. Turned out to be a coolant temp sensor. The ECM did not know how cold the engine really was because the sensor was saying it was -20 degrees. So to counter the cold ECM was flooding the engine out. Put in new temp sensor and she hasn't had a problem starting since.

Had the same problem on a 97 Camry. The sensor would drop out and the car would die. The owner was very happy it didn't cost more to fix.
