Im soon PCSing to Fort Carson after spending 4yrs in Ranger Regiment. I have a ranger tab & 4 deployments. What battalion or brigade would be best for me to fall in with & disperse my potential amongst subordinates? Also is it a pretty good place to be station as a motivated ranger?

Be the quiet professional. You will encounter a degree of professional jeously because of your background. You may not find many Soldiers with your experience of skills and you will miss your former Brothers. The regular army is not like the Regiment. You should be looking at CAG or SF for the future.

SPC (Join to see) - One you get into CAG, you will find a lot of Brothers already there and many to come. CAG is now apprpriately 90% Regiment Rangers as far as operators. CAG is very much as active as the Regiment. Back oin the early days we called you guy "Battalion Babies" which was not a bad title. What is your MOS?

Spend your time learning Army policy and regulations. When guys leave the Regiment they are tactically superior, but administratively inferior. Being an NCO is very much about learning these admin systems and rules so that you can fix your Soldiers' issues. I assume you got knocked down before leaving since you're a 4 year tabbed SPEC4. You'll pick up your SGT quickly on the way the line, so start learning about counseling, promotions and finance.

I don't know the answer to your specific questions, but have heard folks make glowing reports of Ft Carson.
