Do you feel safe online? Can we trust companies with our private information? Congress is questioning Mark Zuckerberg and Facebook this week. We know Russia and China have been hacking us for years. How safe is our online presence even if we are set to “Private Mode” ?

We really should stop thinking that as citizens privacy exist, it does not. I do hope that Opsec in the military still exist as it cost lives when it does not.

"No", "hell no", and "not safe at all." Until there are laws punishing the companies with fines MULTIPLIED by the number of people affected by a breach, they will continue to maximize profits by squeezing their own cyber security budgets. Tricare, Experian, Target, Home Depot, Facebook...it goes on and on.

I try to keep it simple. My personal info on a few social media site such as Facebook is either very vague, general, misleading, or slightly false for my family's protection. My number is not linked to my account either. I do have a public video library on my FB called, Rants from a Veteran which is family friendly. Service members, veterans, individuals working for the government in some capacity must be careful of what they post.
