Insight on 35F role/life in 7th SFG?

got offered Eglin AFB for re-enlistment and just wanted some insight on how the work/life is for a 35F SGT in 7th SFG

Jump on it. Yes, there will be the mundane task of the 35F that you will find everywhere else, but there will be opportunities that you will not get everywhere else.

I was stationed at Eglin and Hurlburt for most of my time. Get a boat as soon as you get down there. Volunteer as much as you can, as Hurlburt Field has their reach in everything SPEC OPS for opportunity.

SGT Santiago, I can't speak for a 35F perspective at 7th SFG, but what I will say is I've definitely worked with former 7th SFG Green Berets. Without a doubt I highly recommend going down to the battalion level. As a 35F on the battalion level you have the opportunity to be attached to SF teams/companies to directly support and train with them. A lot of good training opportunities for 35Fs with SOF units! I say take that offer! The retired green berets from 7th I've met have definitely utilized their 35Fs while they were active duty! Good luck!

As a 35F Intelligence Analyst, you may be responsible for intelligence gathering and analysis, a job that requires critical thinking skills and attention to detail.
In addition, as a member of the 7th Special Forces Group, you may have the opportunity to participate in overseas operations and participate in specialized training.

You can try searching for forums or social media groups where military members gather to discuss their experiences. Additionally, you could try contacting the public affairs office at 7th SFG to see if they can provide you with any information or put you in touch with someone who could give you more information about the work/life of a 35F Sergeant in that unit.
