Get a boat as soon as you get down there. Volunteer as much as you can, as Hurlburt Field has their reach in everything SPEC OPS for opportunity. Without a doubt I highly recommend going down to the battalion level. As a 35F on the battalion level you have the opportunity to be attached to SF teams/companies to directly support and train with them. A lot of good training opportunities for 35Fs with SOF units! I say take that offer! The retired green berets from 7th I&#39;ve met have definitely utilized their 35Fs while they were active duty! Good luck!
