Interested in doing the German Proficiency Badge, anyone know if it's possible in Fort Hood?

I understand that you have to have a German unit to run/validate the event, and I know that Fort Bliss has done some in the past. Is there a German unit in Fort Hood?

Yes, you have to have a German representative. I don't think we do have one at Hood. The last time I did it was in Leonardwood.

Not tracking a german entity on hood but we do have dutch forces on ground. Their proficiency badge is more impressive than the german weapons badge. See link below:

I believe that there is a Germam Liason at Fort Hood, they should be able to give a list of task that you must complete, once that is done they will send your paperwork to Germany to cut your orders. Be sure to request a translated copy

I have seen Germany and Australia LNOs at Ft Sam Houston believe to be part of ARNORTH or MEDCOM.

In the four years I was at Hood 11-15 I never heard of a German LNO on post. I do know Bliss has one and could possibly be coordinated to travel TDY if funds were available and supported by Brigade. Down fall everyone and their brother will eat up your slots!
