Is 11C an identifier instead of an MOS?

Reclassing to 11C. Do I have to pick 11X and hope for the best?

11C is an MOS. As for being prior service, you have to remember that when you go to MEPS, you fall under prior service business rules. Usually always processed last for job picks. Which means that the initial enlistees pick what they want and prior service gets what's left.

11X is for initial entry Soldiers, like 18X. It's a CMF entrance and then the actual MOS is slotted later. If you are going to 11C then you are already slotted to be an 11C
