As long as you pay attention and focus you’ll do great. It’s not as complicated as people make it out to be. Good luck to you, I’m positive you’ll do great!!!Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Jan 18 at 2019 9:32 AM2019-01-18T09:32:02-05:002019-01-18T09:32:02-05:00SPC Private RallyPoint Member4296910<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>All you gotta remember is that no matter how hard it seems, it's not basic training, so you've already been through hellResponse by SPC Private RallyPoint Member made Jan 18 at 2019 10:05 AM2019-01-18T10:05:28-05:002019-01-18T10:05:28-05:002LT Private RallyPoint Member4296999<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>The majority of tests in the Army are open book. <br />And as with all things military, attention to detail!Response by 2LT Private RallyPoint Member made Jan 18 at 2019 10:43 AM2019-01-18T10:43:07-05:002019-01-18T10:43:07-05:00SSG Private RallyPoint Member4297462<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Pay attention in class, take notes. Stay focused. Everything you need to be successful is in your training materials (handouts, regulations, PowerPoint and class participation). Go to the Army Publishing Directorate website, that's going to be your goto. Research, reading, speed, accuracy will be your strengths. Above all pay attention to details. One last note, forget about what you heard. The tools are there for you to be successful, use them. It will push you to the limits during your 25k road march in the blistering heat at Relaxing Jackson with a start time at 0330 in the morning. <br /><br />Wait sorry wrong school lol. 42A school like everyone else has said just pay attention during class your AIT Platoon Sergeants will make sure you are squared away to start learning your mos. The real learning starts once you get to your unit besides the basic systems you learn at AIT you could end up in just about any unit on any base as a 42A. <br /><br />But I thought you were going Airborne and Air assault and 11b... hmmmResponse by SFC(P) Private RallyPoint Member made Jan 18 at 2019 2:45 PM2019-01-18T14:45:15-05:002019-01-18T14:45:15-05:00SGT Private RallyPoint Member4309033<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I didn't find it difficult at all. I even tied with one of my battle buddies for the top grade in the class. His PT score was higher and he got honor grad. Nevertheless, I am proud that I did that well. I recommend just listening, taking notes and most importantly, paying attention to the regulations. If your instructor says something more than once, tuck it away in your memory for use later. Just make sure you pay attention to the classes and pass the tests. Our MOS is usually on the job training for most things. Youll have to do it to truly learn it.Response by SPC Private RallyPoint Member made Jan 31 at 2019 9:01 AM2019-01-31T09:01:13-05:002019-01-31T09:01:13-05:00LTC Private RallyPoint Member5164321<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>they will do everything they can to help you pass. If you make it through basic, they already have a significant investment in you and it is in the Army's best interest that you succeed. Just pay attention in class and ask questions if you are confused or "don't get" something. Not to demean the MOS, but 42A is not rocket science.Response by LTC Private RallyPoint Member made Oct 25 at 2019 10:47 AM2019-10-25T10:47:41-04:002019-10-25T10:47:41-04:002019-01-18T09:06:07-05:00
