Is 51c a good change to make in my career?

Putting in my 51C packet for board date in July of this year. Anyone with a packet example, also any information on the MOS would be great. LOR example, pointers on the selection process.

Short answer, yes.
The Regular Army board for 51C is very competitive. If you are selected and become certified you will be very competitive for well paid government jobs anywhere the government buys things.

I've helped reclass quite a few 51C and they all love their job. That being said, it's extremely competitive. About 90% of the people I met who applied were not selected. You need to have a lot more to offer than just being interested. Every applicant I met who was accepted had a bachelors at the very least, and usually some additional certs.

It's a new MOS est in 2006. If you are high energy and able to think outside the box, it is a great MOS. Good luck
