Is a circumcision something that the Army would disqualify you for, or make you pursue a waiver?

Is a circumcision something that the army would disqualify you for or ask waiver for. The process was obviously personal nothing risky, would this prevent me from getting a waiver.

Also if USAREC miss read my med docs and still asked for me to submit supporting document but all I got was a clarification from the hospitals and not pharmacy record would this suffice as supporting documents. (Memorandum and addendum for the part they became confused)?

I'm wondering if they simply want it because it is considered a surgery, and therefore need record of it? Kind of like Wisdom Teeth? I wouldn't see it as disqualifying, unless there were health issues related to it AFTER the procedure.

Was this due to Phimosis? If so, possibly refer to DoDI 6130.03, ch 5-14, l. “History of chronic or recurrent scrotal pain or unspecified symptoms associated with male genital organs.”
That stated, a waiver shouldn’t be an issue.

*Cough* lol... sorry for laughing. No, circumcision is not even something that the military or MEPS screens for. It's a flap of skin and nothing more. It does not impair a warfighter other than being a few square inches that needs cleaning, or not.

If you are NOT circumcised it can be a disqualifier. It's based on how far back you can pull the foreskin. (Its a hygienic issue). I had this happen to an applicant, but I got him a waiver.

That’s not really a illness or disease that can affect your work. More than half of men have had the procedure

I am not entirely sure what you are asking. Are you asking if a circumcision disqualify you from being in the Army? Is this a prank question? If not, I am guessing someone is pulling your leg. No, it does not. And, in fact, *a lot* of males in the world have them (not just Jews), in case you weren't aware. At one time even all the way up to the 90s they were even done regularly in hospitals not long after boys were born. They are still done today quite frequently (not just for religious reasons). So again, no, this question is both strange, and out-of-place.

I'm confused are you prior service? This should of already been screened your first time enlisted and if you received a waiver before it should still be valid.
