Is she required to be flagged if medically she was pregnant and can prove it? Is a female Soldier required to be flagged if she can medically prove she was pregnant at the time she failed a tape test? 2016-04-11T12:46:29-04:00 MSG Private RallyPoint Member 1445378

Need some guidance. Per ACOG and the DOD/VA Uncomplicated Pregnancy Clinical Practice Guideline (DOD/VA UPCPG), servicewomen with uncomplicated pregnancies should continue to perform an individualized exercise program that incorporates regular mild to moderate exercise in sessions of 30 minutes duration, three or more times per week during the pregnancy. The exercise program should be based on pre-pregnancy activity level and be approved by the OB HCP. Pregnant servicewomen should not participate in push-ups or sit-ups. Pregnant servicewomen should not engage in scuba diving, high-altitude (>10,000 feet above sea level) activities, contact sports, or activities that carry increased risk of falling or risk for abdominal trauma during pregnancy. I'm sure there is a regulation stating as such. Also that is why they have expectant mothers do a special PT program. Pregnancy
a. Personnel who meet this regulation’s standards and become pregnant will be exempt from the standards for the
duration of the pregnancy plus the period of 180 days after the pregnancy ends. If, after this period of exemption they
are verified to exceed the body fat standard, they will be enrolled in the ABCP, pending approval of a medical doctor
that they are fit to participate in the program.
b. Soldiers who become pregnant while enrolled in the ABCP will remain under the flagging action.
c. Soldiers entered or re-entered in the ABCP after pregnancy will be considered first-time entries into the program;
paragraph 3–14 will not apply at that time.
d. She should not be flagged. Keep in mind that if she failed the tape she should by counseled by the commander and flagged within three days. Soooo...if the flag needs to be lifted it should be marked in emilpo as erroneous so that if she does go on the ABCP in the future, it would appear as if it were the 1st time. If so, she should be able to provide proof whether through a pee test, blood test or a pregnancy profile (if available). I would imagine with the proper documentation, she can be exempt but I would assume that some paperwork would be involved to remove the failure from her record.

Anyway, she should have notified her command the first thought she was pregnant. I did that and I had a PRT coming within the month. I went to Medical and confirmed my pregnancy. Then I went back to my CoC and let them know of the status.
