Received an updated email last week saying that I’m projected to attend Phase 1 at Ft. Gordon in April. Can someone confirm that all of 17C will be at Gordon and no longer at Pensacola. I am retired from the Army and my son who passed all requisites for the MOS is being told by his recruiter he might have to wait 2-3 years to get the job for 17C since the “Air Force” will no longer be training phase one of AIT in Pensacola and that Fort Gordon has to get instructors qualified prior to people being accepted in the MOS. That sounds like complete BS to me, or maybe I’m just old, crusty and cynical. Or maybe the Army has just decided to put a critical MOS on the back burner for 2-3 years, LOL. Anybody have any legitimate info on this. The young man wants to get the ball rolling and get in. I'm trying to reclassified to 17C as well. SPC Rasool Edwards can you give me some tips on what you did to get approved? I currently don't have any cyber experience but at Hood you can get some certs like CEH, Net+, Sec+ at the cyber academy on post. I’m trying to do this as soon as possible.
