Is this a new phenomena or have we always been divided?<br />Short answer: Yes, we are systematically divided by sex, race, financial status, marital status, children or no children, religion, political affiliation, job title, city, county, state, crazy, sane, allergies, no allergies, fat, skinny, small, medium, large, black hair, blond hair, blue eyes, brown eyes, light skinned, dark skinned, fair skinned - you name it were categorized in it.<br />How do we get rid of it? Remove the requirements of demographics on applications and other identifying databases - what is the need to know that information for - unless you are seeking to discriminate based on one of the qualifiers for your bias.<br />When I walk into the room you should already know three things - maybe more about me without me having to write it down or pre-identify it: I am a man, a married man (if you see my ring), and a black man. Why do you need to know anything more prior to me walking into the room? Categorize by the content of my character, not the features I carry.

A significant portion of the population has been shielded from the American heritage of limited government and individual freedom. They&#39;ve been caught in the spell of the siren song sung by the Progressive Movement to replace self-government with administrative government. Sadly, even many who have sworn the oath to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution have become unwitting allies of domestic enemies. We need to begin teaching the Constitution again. I've never seen such a racial divide in my lifetime but it's just a select few that causes all the issues. We need to come together to resolve them. If we would realize we are all Americans and realize that All Lives Matter we could fix this. I've never looked at a mans color of skin and judged him I always look at their character. I have several Family members that are bi-racial and they are family nothing different than any other. But I must admit when I see the protestors calling for death to the cops it stirs something up in me that I don't like. But I know a God that loves us all. I just wanted to be honest.

No. Does the media push for highlighting the root causes? No. Are they serving the public interest? No. I just got back refereeing some soccer in Europe and it's funny how the Euro liberals look at the USA. They see one or two media hyped incidents and therefore all the USA is like that. They have no frame of reference on gun ownership, hence think the Second Amendment is crazy. But then they are also still fighting WW2 in several ways culturally.<br /><br />The big difference I see is we still have a good percentage (too low) of people who really care about what the US is and should be. Euro mentality is whatever they don't have to worry about is a good thing. I've been noticing an increasing undercurrent of Euros not liking their National identity fading into the background with faceless elitists in Brussels telling them how to think. The immigration issue pushed the BREXIT over the top. France, Finland, and a few others are likely next. The media over there, also liberal, just can't get a grip on it either.

I've had close personal friends call me a racist bigot because I'm not a Hillary supporter, so that obviously makes me a Trump supporter. Personally though, I was rooting for Carson... but like I said, I'm the racist apparently.<br /><br />I had a friend I grew up with since I was a kid get into a screaming match with me because I posted a positive Bernie Sanders message and since I'm not a Bernie supporter I was obviously spreading lies and hate about him. I even shouted multiple times to read the post itself, but I couldn't get through head because her mind was already made up before she confronted me.<br /><br />The biggest issues I come across tends to come from the left side (no offense to any liberals here). Hell, I had the person who guarded me while I slept, my brother in arms, tell me that he didn't value my life as much as someone with black skin because my people oppressed his people. That's an incredibly scary notion when you're supposed to trust someone with your life.

If you read, DOD Health regulations, law, constitution etc...you see a steady progression in America You see a steady progress desire to make human rights across the board a fundamental principle. I am ashamed of anyone in the world, that is trying to separate, conquer and divide us, based on creed, religion, skin color, religion etc. I never met a special perfect human or race or group of people, who are loved by god anymore then another, who are born taller and more beautiful then another, that across the board have higher IQs then another, that across the board are always healthier and do not get sick compared another.<br /><br />I am tired of the media trying to use pre-school stereo type, group think scare tactics, to get out messages (1) like the police are scary and going to kill the civilian messages, because a few police are rogue upset disgruntled and did something bad (2) or any other similar message that are easily seen as similar to CRYING "WOLF" IN A THEATER.<br /><br />Shoot more people die each year in car accidents then any other guy or girl who goes on suicide kamikaze rampage, to make a point. <br /><br />I think more like Martin Luther King and approach the situation in a different way.<br /><br />We are all basically fighting the same battle as humans.<br /><br />I believe drug addiction is really a bad thing, that is the elephant in the room, twisting the mind of the masses, as we are as only as strong, as a group as the weakest linkage it seems.<br /><br />Some of best friends during bootcamp, and after, are of darker skin color(Black) as they might say. More so in fact.<br /><br />The national media are largely centered in New York City and Los Angeles, and their views of what America looks like reflects those perspectives.<br /><br />Here&#39;s an experiment: go to a college campus, find a place to have a cup of coffee and sit down and watch the students and observe how they cluster. Not that long ago, less than a decade, you&#39;d see black people and white people, of course, and more significantly, you&#39;d see mixed groups of black and white people (and other ethnicities as well). Not now, or rather, these mixed groups are the exception rather than the norm. <br /><br />The fracture lines are deeper and more real than most people realize, and they&#39;re not going away.
