Is an IG complaint merited for being put on a detail for 30 days of 12 hour shifts while most of us are also clearing?

serious question, was told by multiple people including nco's to file a ig complaint. So were put on a detail for 30 days. 12 hour days of constant walking (runners for pharmacy) 7 days a week. No days off AT ALL so 30 days of 12 hour shifts. Most of us are clearing and have to have a replacement fill in for us while we go to our appointments... which leaves us with no time for anything. Only time I can clean my CIF gear is at night. When I'm tired af n worn out. Didn't think its something IG can do but wanted yalls opinions first

IG is going to look at policy. Most post policies are to allow 10 business days for clearing. Your command is within the policy

You say aren't missing your clearing appointments, I doubt IG will have anything to tell you other than "let us know when you are not given time for clearing appointments".

IG will probably not be able to help. From this basic information, I do not feel your unit is violating any policy. You are still being provided time to clean your stuff. It certainly isn't the most ideal situation, but you are being covered to make your clearing appointments. Again, I don't think IG could help. But, there is nothing stating you can't call them and ask them if this does warrant a complaint.

Most people tend to get into PCS, ETS and retirement mode a little too soon. Typically anything that happens within the last few months, they get upset about it. It’s never taken me longer than a week to clear. If you’re still given at least a week or two, you’ll be fine. And CIF after working 12 hours isn’t bad. It’s a one time thing and I’d be willing to bet that since you’re an 11B, you’ve done a lot harder after a lot longer of days than that.
