I need 135 hours, which is about 2 8 hour days a week, September through November. It is a large city not far from Boulder. Maybe they have some openings there. I have a friend who lived in Boulder, but she worked in Denver. Nurse practitioners are too busy or don't feel confident to teach, in my opinion. We are the only healthcare profession that has to find our own preceptors. Doctors don't have to do it, PAs don't have to do it, even RNs are placed in clinical rotations. I will just keep trudging along, and keep putting the word out there. I stumbled on this site accidentally. I'm familiar with health administration internships (which are normally paid), but not with patient care-focused internships. Have you tried the VA to see if they can facilitate something? The availability of funding (for a paid internship) could present an obstacle.Response by LTC Kevin B. made Aug 15 at 2019 11:24 AM2019-08-15T11:24:41-04:002019-08-15T11:24:41-04:00MAJ Erik Larson5109130<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Ma'am, you reached out to me earlier this year and I wasn't in a position to help.
