Is anyone else experiencing extensive processing time with MEPS? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/is-anyone-else-experiencing-extensive-processing-time-with-meps

Hello all,
It has been 4 months now since submitting my paperwork to the Shreveport, LA MEPS to re-enlist. We had to submit a psych eval waiver as well as provide a separation waiver. My recruiter and station commander have received no word from MEPS about what is taking so long. Is anyone else experiencing similar issues? I am assuming by your post that you have a medical disqualification, as well as an RE Code, that require two types of waivers. MEPS schedules the psych consults, and any other medical consultations the waiver authority requests (for the Army, medical waivers go the USAREC Command Surgeon). Have no idea what you are waiting on. Can you be more specific as to what the MEPS action is that is causing a delay? Whatever that action may be is probably required in order to submit your waivers. Ask your recruiter what the MEPS action is that you are waiting on, because it is not the waivers itself. Also, FYI, you are not attempting to "re-enlist" because you are not a currently serving service member negotiating a new contract to replace the expiring one to continue service.
