While in the military my wife had stayed home with our growing family. We entered the army with 2 children and when we got out there was 4, no clue where they came from.... Lol. Now that we're out my wife wanted to go back to work and I said I would stay home with the kids. I have always respected my wife for how strong and fun and loving she is, after being the one home with the kids for the past 6 months has only made that respect grow. As challenging as it may be at times it has also helped me reconnect with my children in a way I never could while working 14 hour shifts. Is anyone else a stay at home father? What has your experience been like?

My husband was a stay-at-home dad for a while. He got a lot of flack for it, (from the ignorant local populace), but I'm so glad he was able to be with the kiddos.
Your kids will remember it. Enjoy your time with them. They grow up way too fast!

Anyone can "parent" a child. It takes a real man to be a daddy. Keep 'em close SPC Chad Kolod

I think we women find something absolutely beautiful about this, which is why we take these pictures! Adorable!

My husband is prior military and stays home with the kiddo and does college full time. I've got to say I'm extremely grateful because we are both happy and our daughter is well taken care of. And I save on day care while he gets a higher education! I don't see the issue in that! People just have to get over the past and realize that it isn't WRONG it just isn't normal to them.

I especially love that I get to take them out for ice cream or to the beach whenever I want!
